The Birth of Links

God brought the ministry of mime to the House of Prayer IPH Church in December 2004 by sending his puppet……………Jesus Puppet. Kesha Montgomery is Jesus Puppet and she opened up a new and exciting way to worship God at the House of Prayer.

The group started out with five members: Brittany Maxwell, Brittany Kendrick, Amber McDonald, Carlie Carpio and Shamarion Johnson. They practiced everyday for two weeks and made their debut on January 17, 2005; miming to the song “Never Seen Your Face” by the Williams Brothers.

Over the next few months, various ones dropped out of the group, but “In the Midst of it All”, God still had a plan. ---Courtney Hornbeak and Yvette Hicks joined the group.

There are currently two members in the group and HIS work continues! We practice every Saturday, which includes a time of prayer, reading the Word and exercising.

We focus on Ministry and keep in mind that miming is a ministry unto the glory and honor of the Lord and we are not there to entertain people. We continuously ask God to give us the songs, moves and allow this ministry to touch someone each time we get up on that stage. Anyone can get up there and perform, but it’s the anointing that breaks the yokes.

Through continuous prayer and fasting, this linked chain will not be broken. We are “Anointed Links” and without God, we would be nothing. Our mission is to minister God’s Word through movement and expression and invoke change.
